So any good shadowrun 4 games around? I just got the 4e rules and like the concepts they put forth in it. I would be interested in playing it, since I have not played since 3e was considered new and shiny. I'm not really a fan of magic in any system, so Im more inclined to play gun-totting cyberpsychos and technical-types that a mage or shaman. I have not yet read the whole book, so I would more than likely be a noobie if I tried to play a hacker.

I have no real leanings towards campaign type, except I would be a fan of larger mature but not adult type of games. Maybe a multi-gm game based around 3-4 different teams running around Seattle at the same time. But I am aware of the difficulties in running these types of games.

I've GMed Shadowrun 4e before, but haven't gotten to play a game yet. I'd love to join a game like what Undeadbob described. I don't really have the time to run another game, or I'd do it myself.

I guess we should just suck it up and join a 5e game lol.

I haven't actually looked at the rules for 5e. Are they similar to 4e?

In 5e, there isn't a BP system. Instead, you choose "Priorites" from A to E. You can choose from The amount of Nuyen, Abilities, Skills, Magic, and Metahuman. So for example:

A Skills
B Abilities: 20
C Nuyen: 140,000
D Metahuman: Elf or Human
E Magic/technomancy: Mundane

You don't have BP, instead you have 5 categories that you can put into each priority. A is the best and highest, E is the worst and lowest.

In addition, there is a Karma system that you build your character with. You start with 25 Karma, and this is used to purchase qualities, extra nuyen, or you can bump up some skills or abilities with it.

Ah. I see. That's kinda a weird way of doing it. It does make sense, though.
