Skyrim: Open Adventures

I and a small  group of others recently took part in a Skyrim-Centric game on RPOL. THe GM could never post more than one-liners, and recently decided to close the game for whatever reason, I, and at least one other, possibly two, are interested in either continuing where we left off, or (if our new GM is more ambitious) deviating from the  'video game's fixed progression' that our previous GM was rather anxious to adhere to.

I think if we three decided to work together as an adventuring party, we could have a lot of great adventures without splitting up too much, save perhaps to address business in towns and the like - alternately, though,  we might want to allow for group separation on some quests.

There was some talk of allowing various players to each get access to some shouts, but honestly, we're pretty willing to flex - one dragonborn, or multiple who have less  individual power of Thu'um. Inventing new Shouts? certainly a possibility.

I think we'd like to keep this freeform, and fairly relaxed, but having more GM detail than we had before to play off of will be helpful.  Interested parties in GMing?

Re: Skyrim: Open Adventures

Hi, I may be interested in running a game, I'm not currently involved with anything so have ample time to create something. How would you or the other players feel about starting where the main story line in the game left off? i.e. the defeat of Alduin in Sovngarde.

Mayyybe... I've pointed the others here and they can weigh in on that if theyed like... It wouldn't strictly bother me, might have to re-evaluate my schemes to become High Queen though </runningjoke>

Re: Skyrim: Open Adventures

Well by that logic i could actually have done 80% of the stuff i wanted my character to do. I.e. leader of the companions and stuff

Re: Skyrim: Open Adventures

while an ambitious idea, I myself am ill suited to running a game.  Still interested if any more pops up.  Let me know

Re: Skyrim: Open Adventures

these are the other two I mentioned :3

But yeah, I think the general preference is a 'no' on starting after Alduin's defeat.

Perhaps we might try something more along the lines of a rebirh of the Akiviiri/ Blades order with the same base premise - mysterious dragon revivals, tales of the World-Eater, ect - but maybe things develop or play out into a wholly different story?

Re: Skyrim: Open Adventures

I am fine with that. Did your old game get deleted or is it just currently inactive? (I'm wondering whether ownership can be transferred or is it easier to just start up a fresh one). Obviously i'll need a few days to get some source material (I like to be prepared) and have a pow wow with you all about what you've done so far in the game. I'm assuming you'd all like some sort of continuity?

Re: Skyrim: Open Adventures

I would also be interested in playing a reboot game as well. I was the last to join and after telling the gm I wanted to play a destruction specialist mage that hunts rogue mages, I was going to be starting near the mage college but then the game died. I would like to keep the same character concept, but would be willing to tie in m back story with the group.

Re: Skyrim: Open Adventures

I would also be interested in one a skyrim based adventure.

An idea would be that the dragonborn found a way to harness his power distributed it amongst a few elite heroes to act as the police force of the land of Skyrim.
