Looking for a Game: Any System Will Do

I'd prefer a game that gets serious, but not too serious (a bit of humor is good here and there). I don't want a game with any graphic material including extreme and unnecessary violence, torture, morbid scenes, depressing stuff, or stuff meant for adults only. I also don't want to be in a game that often uses deities or supernatural mumbo jumbo, such as demons and all that (magic and such is fine, as long as it isn't because of a deity, like clerics in D&D).

I don't mind the system, as long as it can be explained to me and I can maybe get a bit of help on creating a character (I'm fine to use pre-gens). I'm fine with anything except modern settings, unless someone's doing a game where they mix it up a little (magic, superpowers maybe, Men in Black, that kind of stuff), though I'd really prefer fantasy or Sci-Fi, especially Star Wars.

If you need more info, just ask.

Re: Looking for a Game: Any System Will Do

What size of group are you looking for? Solo, a few people, etc. Also, what specifically are you looking for in the game? Lots of combat, sandbox, story-driven?

Re: Looking for a Game: Any System Will Do

I'd prefer at least a few people. Also, I prefer story-driven games that stray from combat more over.

Re: Looking for a Game: Any System Will Do

What are you looking for story-wise? Just a group of nobodies, trading their way to fortune? Or something else?

Re: Looking for a Game: Any System Will Do

Really, any game would be nice. I like games where the goal is to discover things, but I'm fine with whatever.

Re: Looking for a Game: Any System Will Do

I could run a Stars Without Number game, where the PCs are explorers. Trying to discover new worlds within the sector, and learn about the alien life within.

Does that interest you? If not, what way would I need to tweak it?

Actually, that sounds great. I've never heard of that game, but I'll look it up.

You can find the rulebook online for free. It's not too hard to learn. Let me know if you're interested in it, and I'll make the game.

Re: Looking for a Game: Any System Will Do

I haven't heard from the OP, but it definitely seems like there's interest in the game. Do you have any experience with Stars Without Number? If not, I have no problem helping you out with it.

I do not, just got the free edition last night and I've been reading over it.
