I've recently been introduced to the Legend of the Five Rings, both setting and system, after expressing interest. And I've just recently started playing in an IRL game, and I love it. I'd like to try and get a game going on here, both to see more of the setting and to try different character concepts, but definitely can't GM it. Anyone interested?

I'd be interested in playing. Not particularly fussed over setting knowledge, provided the game intent is more feudal society than anime central.

Also interested in playing and if no-one does set up a game, I might actually set up the one I have already partially constructed ages ago. Of course, it diverges from the official timeline a bit, but it is still Rokugan.

I could run a small game, provided that we used 3.5 rules, since I still dont have the new rules set.  (New?  Its been out for years!)

It's definitely more fuedal society than anime central Novocrane, barring Magic and Monsters being a thing of course. And metul, I'm not too familiar with those, myself, I only have the 4th edition books.

How would your game diverge, mediic?

My game, which is adult not because I'm looking for people setting up an orgy in it but because of the darker themes, is set in 1145, 17 years after the Second Day of Thunder but with one distinct difference - only Mirumoto Hitomi survived the day though Fu Leng was defeated. The lack of an Emperor has driven Rokugan in to a civil war, thus the name Rokugan - Sengoku Jidai. Practically, there are no Emerald Magistrates, who would leash the immoral and dishonourable actions by anyone and the law of the Emperor has become the law of the sword.

Darn, mediiic beat me to the punch! I just set up an L5R 4th ed game set in the pre-Scorpion Clan Coup era so that the PCs can influence Rokugani history. Well this means I can have my cake and eat it too by (hopefully) playing and GMing a L5R game at the same time. :)
