Grimoire - Under Construction

Grimoire, the Game version (A)

A small word on the Game and Concepts

Introduction to the Game

Inspired by: Sword Art Online, .//hack, Elder Scrolls, Mass Effect, Dark Souls, and various other games. (Mechanic Sensibilities and Mechanics inspired by all this and built on the foundations of the tactics and ideas of gary gygax and your own player community.)

A game about playing a game, where you in the real world will immerse yourself in a virtual interactive world. The concept very similar to the idea of Sword Art Online that the new virtual reality game is being released on a console and headset. The Players are able to dive in and immerse themselves in this new virtual world. There is an actual system with mechanics and rules, you'll get to play by this system and enjoy the MMO experience as well. Initially it will be your character logging in and playing, free to log-out and interact in both worlds. Eventually though, just like in Sword Art Online something will go horribly wrong. For whatever reason your character will be locked into the virtual world. The Death is Real rule will be implemented and nothing will ever be the same.
At the moment the game itself is in a pre-launched pre-alpha stage, meaning that nothing is finished and isn't even ready for 'alpha' testing. I'm working my buttocks off though, and 'brain sweating' profusely, so hopefully it won't take forever. Anyway if you are eager to role-play, I'm willing to create character specific threads in group 2 for people to put their 'real world' personae and go ahead and get started on kicking around some background for your character if you like. You can also join and discuss and kick around points, questions, ideas, and suggestions. This helps give me more information to work with and can always help make the game take form faster. Of course if you're also grammatically inclined, or just good with words, perhaps you'd like to join to edit threads and try to make this all more comprehensive. (I'm good with making mechanics and ideas and stuff, but I am about as organized as my hero gary gygax.... which means I'm not ... not organized at all.)

This is a role-playing game, with a system. This means that you'll be posting pretending to be someone you're not, using rules to facilitate the simulation of a real world with real rules. This game will allow you to have your pretend character participate and interact in a fictional world and grow in realistic ways for that world and using the rules you get to enjoy gaining access to new powers and abilities along the way. This is the essence of any role-playing game.

Sending an RTJ

(We are open to co-gms and moderators provided they understand the responsibility.) Basically give me a name to put on you for now, and I'll add you.

Making yourself a real Admin
1. All Admins use the NPC 'The World' to communicate with players when in-character/in-game.
2. All Admins need a singular Administrative Character, this character should be your primary and have the GM Tag, this Character should also have it's admin title in it's biography.
3. All GMs may also hold a position as a player, but they may only have ONE singular primary 'player' character any others are treated as NPC Player's and a GM may never GM their own primary "Player" Character they must get another GM to do it for them.
4. All GMs may run as many NPCs as they like, the more populated the world the better. The rule on NPCs and NPC Players is that they must remain active. If a NPC or NPC Player is not posting fast enough, then another GM is allowed to step in and post for you to make certain the NPC remains active. Any information that can help the GM remain true to the character should be made available for all other GMs. When stepping in for another GM to post using their npc Character should be respectful and honest, and attempt to do everything in their power to remain true to that character.
5. No GM is exempt from the rules of the game, not even myself. Please point out to another GM when they are crossing the boundaries including myself. Unfortunately as the top administrator and creator I must remain in control for now, but I will promise now to always do my best to intently listen and take criticism in order to grow as the Game Master.
6. Just because you're a moderator or GM doesn't mean you're allowed to be rude to players, remember always that as GMs it's our responsibility to make this game fun for them more so then ourselves.
7. Always remember as a part of the administrative staff you are held personally accountable for the quality and activity of this game, and will be expected to do right by that responsibility.

Important: The game is rated mature, mostly due to the allowance of some language and of course the violence, it's also just a mature game dealing with mature ethical concepts. We are in need of co-GMs, Moderators, that sort of thing to aide in the creation of the game's system and mechanics as well as the handling of posts and future player stock as well as our present player stock. This isn't anything too overwhelming at the moment (kind of... making mechanics isn't easy after all...) as we have a good number of players, but the game itself isn't entirely ready to launch. Although by the looks of it, when we do get going this game will be very very active.

This game is NOT short-term project, nor a short-term commitment. Be aware and committed if you volunteer to be a fellow GM of this game, it's not for the faint of heart. I have no intention of letting anyone down and stepping away from this anytime soon, I expect the same of you.

So after all that, if you're still interested link to another game
