At the beginning of the year, I released a character into the public domain. I named him The Ultraterestrial, and I see him as a sci-fi oriented intellectual hero in the tradition of MacGuyver and the Doctor. U.T. is suitable for most superhero and sci-fi settings, I think. I would like to roleplay him some more in order to better feel out his personality, but he wouldn't fit well into just any campaign. U.T. has some very strong beliefs about aliens, legends, and the invisible conspiracies which control the world. Whether his beliefs are right or wrong, he holds fast to them as they are a big part of his origin story. That could be interpretted as god-mode roleplaying in the wrong campaign. That origin story by the way, involved a newspaper reporter finding a UFO crash sight with a dying pilot in the very late 19th Century, resulting in a mostly human gestault being with the skills and technical knowledge of the alien. Does anyone here know a game in which a half-crazed half-alien investigator would fit?

Wow. That is unusual. I would enjoy playing in a game with said character and I think one of my "hero" designs would even fit well with him. If there is anyone interested in running there are people here who wish to play.
