5E: Adventure League

Good Morning / Afternoon / Evening,

With all the games that are present, wondering if anyone wants another 5E game up using the Adventure League rules.  I do have a DCI number and have been DMing the encounters for the last couple of weeks.

I would-be creating this game to get more 'practice' within the week and give people an opportunity to play.

Thoughts???

How would you want ability scores, hp, and starting wealth determined?

Re: 5E: Adventure League

We'd use the rules outlined in the Adventure League guidelines.
However, the quick and dirty:

Determine Ability Scores (pg. 3)
You can generate your character’s ability scores using
one of the following methods:
• Standard set (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8)
• Customizing ability scores variant
(Player’s Handbook chapter 1)

After assigning ability scores, apply your racial benefits
to derive your starting ability score at 1st level.
You cannot roll your ability scores.

Choose Equipment (pg. 4)
When you create your D&D Adventurers League
character, you can choose one of two options for
your equipment:
• Take starting equipment as determined by your class
and background.
• Take maximum gold pieces (gp) for your class as
noted in chapter 5 of the Player’s Handbook or basic
rules, and buy your equipment piecemeal.

Purchasing Items.
You can purchase any mundane item found in your rules for character options.
Trinkets. You can begin play with one trinket of
your choice from the table in chapter 5 of the Player’s
Handbook or basic rules, or you can roll randomly to
determine your trinket.

Hit Points:
Hit Points at Higher Levels. Whenever you gain a
level, use the fixed hit point value shown in your class
entry. You cannot roll your hit points.

Re: 5E: Adventure League

I will have to figure out how to do the Magical Items...
I can hand them out, however, players would not get the fancy cards required to say:
Hey, I earned this.

Therefore, it may-be a 5E Adventure using the Adventure League rules, settings and guidelines.
Still thinking this through, I maybe able to get the cards to then send to players.

Sounds good. Is the setting Forgotten Realms? I'll begin making a character.
