Re: Anthro Animals...
Mouse Guard is an excellent game setting and system. It's unique in that, while the mice (and enemy weasel society) are anthropomorphic, they're also still mouse-sized, meaning predators like foxes, snakes, and hawks, are all much larger and more dangerous.
The game system is very cooperative, and is one of the better systems around, IMO.
The Mouse Guard setting is decidedly medieval (12th Century-ish), so if you're looking for something more Zootopia or sci-fi, you will need to look elsewhere.
Savage Worlds has the flexibility to jump into any genre you want, while still creating the various species "critters" you would want to have.
If you're looking for something hard sci-fi, you can't beat the Albedo setting. The three editions of the Albedo RPG are of variable quality, but I think both 2nd Ed and Platinum Catalyst (the second, I think, being related to the Iron Claw RPG system, IIRC...it's been a while since I bought it) would work. The Albedo setting is based on the British comic series Albedo: Anthropomorphics and Erma Felna, EDF.
If you want to go sci-fi and an original setting, Traveller would be a strong candidate. I'm, personally a fan of 4th Ed, but I think everything except the New Era edition are excellent (though I'm not entirely a fan of Megatraveller, either). I picked up T5 on CD when it came out; it gives Steve "Writes" Long's work a run for its money in its verbosity, but, it's still a top-notch Traveller edition.
Another option is to use Alternity, though this is a pre-3rd Ed product from TSR. I found species creation pretty easy, so it would give your GM the ability to get a setting together relatively quickly.
Lots of options out there. I guess the first question is, what systems do you have and want to use?
