HarnMaster 3.01 Learning Experience
I've very recently (within the last week) started getting interested in learning the HârnMaster system—particularly for combat, but also for character creation (and to a lesser degree, non-combat resolutions) as well.
The rub, however, is that I don't have any idea if I'm doing things right or understanding them properly.
I'm looking for someone experienced in the system who would be willing to, at a bare minimum, hold my hand through the character generation process (both the roll-everything process and what I dimly understand to be the "point buy" character creation option), referee a couple of sample combats, and walk me through their aftermath (injury/treatment/infection/etc.).
How a potential GM wanted to go about this is up for discussion / collaboration. I'm perfectly happy with just walking through character creation, tackling a few completely artificial one-off or arena-style scenarios, and discussing / examining the aftermath, all from a purely metagaming / mechanical / crunchy point of view. However, if someone wanted to try to tackle this more in the form of a short one-shot adventure, I would not be averse to something like that either. Like I said, up for discussion.
So, anyone out there willing to take up this banner?
