WOD

Looking for a game that the players start out mortal and become part of the supernatural community. The chance would have to be early game but in the end the introduction into the world of WOD would be the main body of the game. It is a interesting interaction, mentally, for a character that I have been wanting to expand on for some time now.

Re: WOD

New World of Darkness or Classic? I ask because I'd be interested in playing a game like this with new world of darkness.

Re: WOD

I am starting up an ADULT hunter game that is pretty much exactly what you are asking for.

Re: WOD

Like I said, wouldn't mind a new world of darkness game in this route...

Re: WOD

oWoD is close enough to figure out easily enough. lol

Only reason a lot of people don't like to go back and forth between the two is old is a bit high on stuff that goes over a lot of peoples heads and it makes the whole universe and cosmology make no sense unless you have some broad understanding of theology and stuff like n-denominational physics and memenomics and crazy like things that make most peoples head spin.

While new takes all the clans, tribes, and the like from the first and turns them inside out and changes up the entire univurse, wich puts a lot of old players off...

I want to get to reading new when I can so I can use SOME of the rules.... I do not like the way they do social and mental like physical that is kinda stupid .... it has some sense to it but then some things that come up a lot don't have stats at all and mental and socal isn't force, flexablity, and resistant very much o.o

Re: WOD

I could run that for you; any particular game you're interested in, Vampire, Werewolf, Changeling?

Re: WOD

The idea is that I would make a normal. You would be the one to choose what supernatural template is applied. =)

Re: WOD

I'd still be available to play too. Mortal going into Promethean would be interesting, seeing as Prometheans are made from the dead.

I have most of the splats, except Mage. Some I haven't played out yet, like Promethean or Mummy (A prelude when a Mummy was still Mortal would make for an interesting start to a campaign too thinking on it).
I found Werewolf too complex with all the rules, but Vampire is alright when it's not all back-stabby and I love Changeling.
Geist has promise too but I've only ever played one once. I would really like to play one again though.

Re: WOD

I haven't got any books on me to run or join any NWOD other than Changeling. Which is my fave BTW. But  I think a new vamp & promethian game went live this week.

Re: WOD

Promethean is my favorite, and a human-to-Promethean game would be an interesting change of pace. I can start setting one up immediately.

In reply to GileadBorn (msg # 15):

That's the hard part. The idea behind it is for everyone to be randomly changed. A study of interactions of supernatural alterations without the normal guidelines. Make sense? Not just Promethian but all the supernatural races would be able to manifest. Players would not, at all, get to choose. However, there is no limitation on what they could end up as. It would be up to the players to work with one another and still come to terms with what they are and what their friends have become.
