I preorder the starter set for DnD Next (5e) and I just got it along with the starter set minis.

I also recently got the Pathfinder Corebook and got some character sheet printed out.

As stated above I am a novice in both game and I hope that a GM would be willing to step forward and attempt one or both games. I want to start out as a wizard with two exotic humanoid companions with a very strong bond.

DnD 5 would be interesting, just starting to read thru the downloaded rules.  Planning on getting the PHB sometime next month. No real interest in PF at this time.  I have the PF rules but too involved in other stuff at this time.
