The Elder Scrolls (Tamriel)

I'd love to play in a game set in Tamriel, the setting of the Elder Scrolls series of CRPGs.  I'm not interested in capturing exactly the gameplay, more the feel and lore of the setting.  So we don't need a party of characters that can do everything like the CRPG protagonists can, nor have Magicka points, etc.  So system isn't important in that sense.

Speaking of system, I don't particularly like D20 as it stands, so 3.5/PF is out, but I've been wanting to try out 13th Age.  Icons could be figures like: Uriel Septim VII, Gortwog, the King of Worms, the Underking, the Tribunal, and so on.  Dungeon World is another I've been wanting to try out, and I'm open to other suggestions.

As for time frame, I'd really prefer during the reign of Uriel Septim VII, as that's what I'm most familiar with.  Perhaps before the events at the end of Morrowind, since that destroyed a really fascinating part of the world.  If we can see more than one province, that would be a big bonus for me, especially the more alien ones like Morrowind, Elsewyr, and Summerset Isles.

Re: The Elder Scrolls (Tamriel)

The Dragon Age rules would be another consideration for this setting. I don't have time to GM, but I might be able to play...

Re: The Elder Scrolls (Tamriel)

I actually tried running something like this myself with 13th Age, but it just didn't work out. But if someone grabs this, i'll play in it - especially if it's 13th age or Dungeon World.

I'd play if it's Dungeon World too :)

Re: The Elder Scrolls (Tamriel)

I'd be interested in playing, but not in the systems mentioned. Would do something BRP-ish, or OSR-type D&D.

In reply to Baron (msg # 5):

Id play regardless as long as being new to chosen system isnt a problem. I know d&d ad&d 1st edition. 2nd edition 3.5. As well as the palladium systems and white wolfs.

Re: The Elder Scrolls (Tamriel)

I'd definitely be interested, as long as whatever system is chosen is easy to pick up

Re: The Elder Scrolls (Tamriel)

I saw a d% based system over on 1d4chan that is specifically intended for ES games. I'm still reading through it so I don't know how well it's made.

Re: The Elder Scrolls (Tamriel)

I am interested in this setting. (I do hope for the A rating but might settle for only M depending on the circumstances)  But I played Oblivion and Skyrim and had been on ESO recently.

Re: The Elder Scrolls (Tamriel)

Another d% system that would work well (and would stay out of the way) is the Barebones Fantasy system. It's very flexible and one of the cool things is that the magic system is very flexible and generic so that Elder Scrolls type of spell creation and magic crafting could be easily handled.  Check it out!

BTW, I'm still interested in playing... ;-)
