7th Sea set in historical Venice

I just spent some time in Venice and I love the city and its history (always have but visiting really brought it home). Also have always loved the 7th Sea (d10) rules set (I like the world as well - very rich). It would be cool to have someone well versed in Vencian history and knowledgable of the city to run a historical adventure using 7th Sea rules in maybe 13th or 14th century Venice. Loads of political intrigue, flashing blades, romance, adventure.

Takers to run such a game?

I WANT TO PLAY. I love 7th Sea but the typical 7th Sea crowd here is a bit...cloistered.

Re: 7th Sea set in historical Venice

I have thought about a game in the Venice for some time, after playing PC games like Patrician and Crusader Kings II.  I could be persuaded to try something along those lines.  I have played L5R before so I know the roll and keep system, but I haven't specifically played 7th Sea.

st_nougat, could you PM me with a little synopsis of the 7th Sea rules?

The 7th Sea rules are pretty loose. A GM, whether tabletop, PbP, or whatever, can move the game in many directions- not all of them good IMO.

Love seventh sea.  Just a quick point. Vodacce if some one did not want to do Venice is a very Venice setting

Re: 7th Sea set in historical Venice

I'd be okay with vodacce. My favorite country. I'd prefer something more historical and not actually set in theah, but beggars can't be choosers.

I would take either or, I love Theah but historical Venice has always been intriguing. Plus I love 7th Sea.

Re: 7th Sea set in historical Venice

I LOVE 7th Sea and I am a historian, if you guys need some historical input I could offer a bit of help, Venice is not my specialty but I can probably recall enough to be useful for a few things.
