Re: An M&M 2nd ed game?
Well, I have a lot of concepts on file, so I can pick something that'll best fit the group. I do have a tendency to go with more complex characters than simple archetypes. I've played everything from someone who used tarot cards to randomly access their powers (literally, a die roll to determine which card was drawn, and another to determine if it was normal or inversed, with different powers for each state of each card), to a time travelling necromancer who plays like a strange mash-up of Warehouse 13, Harry Dresden, and Doctor Who, to a ice-type mutant thief with superscience and magical gear (because he is paranoid and likes covering all the bases) who might not hit as hard as some, but does guerrilla tactics like nobody's business, to a vampire healer who was an actual bride of Dracula before becoming the leader of her own cult, to a guy who uses two-way portals as both transportation and attack. Oh, and a dragon that turns into a girl (or was it a girl that turns into a dragon?). Anyways, that's just a sampling of the kinds of characters I like to play.
Also, I tend to be more Iron Age in my outlook with characters. I find the Watchmen far more compelling characters than the Justice League of America, for example.
