Primetime Adventures

Any GMs out there want to put on there Producer shoes and make a TV Show? Prefer a Sci-Fi or Fantasy show, or Survival. LOST, Vikings, Carnivale, Three good ideas, if you are a TV Junkie like myself, and an RPG nut, and like to tell a good story, and do not mind the interactions of your players. The Primetime Adventures system looks promising. Allowing for some pretty cool sounding scenes, depending on the Game. Maybe even a Collaboration between the Producer and the players. With so much great Television on the airwaves why not bring some of that Episodic action over to RPOL.

Re: Primetime Adventures

I played in a short-lived Primetime Adventures game a few years ago, and I always wanted to revisit the concept of a television show game. Collaboration between players is something very rare, though, in my experience. I've only witnessed it a handful of times, and Primetime Adventures needs collaboration in order to thrive.

I would love to find a game to play in as well.

Re: Primetime Adventures

I've never really looked into it, despite doing all my longer running RL campaigns in seasons and episodes.

What type of show would you be interested in?

Re: Primetime Adventures

What show wouldn't I be interested in!

LOST, Game of Thrones, The 100, Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Carnivale, Rome, The Wire, Reign, Stargate Universe, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Dexter, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, True Blood, Sons of Anarchy, Supernatural, Boardwalk Empire, Prison Break, American Horror Story, Justified, Heroes, Leverage, Falling Skies, Revolution, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Pokemon, Battlestar Gallactica, Caprica, Vikings.

All would be fun, if done in an Episodic Format, and used the Primetime Adventures System.

Re: Primetime Adventures

Just about all of those could be fun.

Now I need to see where I can get hands on a copy of the complete rules.
