Anima Prime, anyone?

(not to be confused with Anima, from Fantasy Flight Games--I'm asking about the indie project from Berengad Games)

Got my copy of this from a Bundle of Holding a few months back and now I'm in the mood to try out something rather Final Fantasy-ish!

Steambots, skyships, megaswords, and the occasional catgirl: what's not to like?

Re: Anima Prime, anyone?

I also got Anima Prime from that anime/Asia-themed Bundle of Holding a few months ago. I haven't completely read the book - as it didn't seem like one that I'd get a chance to use anytime soon - but I'd like to give the system a try, so you could count me in as an interested player too if any GMs do decide to run with this.

It should be noted to any future GMs that though the full artwork version costs money, the purely text version (which is the same thing just without the images) is available for free from the creator's website, so anyone can pick it up and give it a try if they'd like.

Re: Anima Prime, anyone?

This is very true! And I ought to have included a link as well for the interested.

The free rules are here:

And for the time-impaired, there's also a pocket version that cuts the whole thing down to two (2) 8.5" x 11" sheets of paper.  :)

That's enough flurried copypasta from me, I think.

For reference, I liked this well enough to splurge on the dead tree version, and the artwork looks even better--some of the pictures in the PDF look sort of photo-negative greyscale, but in print prove to be much more elegant.

Re: Anima Prime, anyone?

Well I'm still an interested potential player if this does pick up.

Re: Anima Prime, anyone?

Okay, looks like we're going to be doing this ourselves.
