Brave New World - Superhero gaming

OK this is a very, very long shot as I know from other RPG forums not many people have positive views on this game BUT

I was wondering if there was a GM out there willing to run a BNW (pinnacle games) superhero game. I love the setting and I actually think the rules are good if flawed slightly (what games aren't)

I also really like the power package and tricks set up (though this is the main problem for some roleplayers)

Well thats about it a plea for a GM willing to run a game

Cheers

Ooo. I too would be interested in trying this. I'm quite fond of Pinnacle, and picked up a number of these books but have never played.

Re: Brave New World - Superhero gaming

I ran this game for ever a year. I would love to play in it. The setting is awesome! I can say any gm looking for a better more stable setting would be crazy not to look at this game. And the rule set works so very well with it regardless of what you think is flawed.

I would play!

Re: Brave New World - Superhero gaming

I recently acquired this and have been considering running. The challenge I see is that it needs a very clear cut party idea, not least due to the Bargainers and Covenant who despite their possibilty to be included do have some issues. What sort of game would you be looking for, one where players are members of the Defiance, Delta Prime or some of the other major power groups?

Re: Brave New World - Superhero gaming

Thanks for replying for some reason not many people seem to rate this game :(

Anyway I'm up for any setting \group even a small independent group stuck in the middle just trying to survive

Re: Brave New World - Superhero gaming

It's not got much of a reputation and a lot of people like their Superhero rpgs to have a fair variety in what you can play. If you look at popular ones like M&M they're normally big on the options whereas BNW more just gives you one awesome gun and tells you to get using it whilst denying you the shelves of alternatives. The fact that it ended before quite a few reveals doesn't help.

I'll have a ponder when I'm back near the books and see what sort of thing I can come up with.

Cheers

I actually like the way the powers are set up it means everyone is good at something but needs to rely on others to cover their weaknesses which in game gives everyone their 15 minutes of fame.

It always gave me the feeling of the TV series Heroes or the 4400 and even early X-men which is fantastic.
