What is RTJ?
Also, when you're looking at games, most (if not all) of them have a thread labelled something like "RTJ Information". Those are the guidelines for what the DM/GM/Storyteller/Narrator/whatever are looking for if you want to join the game. It can be anything from a simple character outline to a full-blown character sheet with a multi-paragraph writing sample. A general rule of thumb is, if you feel like they are asking you for too much, then don't bother with the game...RTJs are a good first indicator of what the GM is going to be like, and if their RTJ bugs you, odds are really good that other things about how they run their game will also bug you.
But failing to follow the RTJ guidelines as laid out by the GM is generally asking to be summarily dismissed from consideration as a player, because how you follow their RTJ guidelines is their first indicator of what you're like as a player.
