As the title implies, I would like to make a pdf version of a character sheet for use in a game I am designing.

Is this possible to be done in such a way that as DM I would still be able to see the sheet?

If yes, how would I do this?

I've had success embedding a link to my Google Drive-hosted sheet into the character sheet section, but some DMs don't like that too much. Any other hosting service that allows document previews without downloading should work just as well.

Would that work if I wanted the players to be able to fill out the sheets as we go?

Speaking in reference to Google Drive, since it's what I know:

You'd have to allow them to edit the document, or trust them to upload it themselves, but yes. It'd be done off-site, via Drive itself, so you'd have to have players onboard with that idea.

Should be able to use the game wiki feature. Would take some setup but you could have a sheets section on the wiki.
