Hello yinz,

I'm a long-time fantasy nerd.  When I was younger, I played a bit of 2nd edition D&D in high school, but couldn't keep groups together.  After that I got into final fantasies, baldur's gate, icewind dale, neverwinter nights, and eventually stuff like World of Warcraft.  Lately I've been going old school and playing text-based Multi-User Dungeons.  I finally found a regular 5th edition D&D group, but we had about 19 people show up, so I ended up DMing.

I came here to RPol in the hopes of being able to play a regular D&D 5th edition game where I can play as opposed to DM.  I have a bit of a hectic life, so the play by post/text environment really works for me.  My only concern is that I'll get so into it that I'll sit around and tap my fingers, wishing people would go so I could go again.

Anyhow, sorry for the long winded intro.  It took quite a bit of searching to find this site!  Looking forward to learning the ropes.

Welcome!!!   This site is a lot of fun, though it's a bit of a change from live games, certainly.

Go ahead and check out the Wanted Players forum (or check out the Browse feature)  to see if a game is available,  or you can ask for one on the Wanted GMs forum

3rd edition is the bigger draw on this site, but there have been dnd games from Basic to 5th level.
