So, somehow I had never joined this site even though I've been gaming for most of my life at this point.

Suffice to say I'm not in the early stage of my life, but am well settled with wife and kids.  Thus, I don't seem to have a lot of time to do IRL RPing, though I may try and change that soon.

Recently, I backed the 7th Sea 2nd Ed and Unknown Armies 3E rules, so I've been reading them.  I've also recently discovered RPPR and listening to their AP Podcast has been amusing, while also inflaming that old familiar itch.

Anyway, I just joined.  So, I'll be around for a little while at least and see if this site sticks or not.  However, nice to meet whomever stops by.

I'll be the first to welcome you to the fold. There are plenty of games for your needs. I am a D&D/D20 guy, but I have seen the systems you speak of recently.

I think this happens to a lot of us... RL taking so much of our time and effort that we can't find a suitable ftf game. And there are others that are out in the boondocks somewhere and can't find any other players nearby.

One of the solutions is PbP games, such as RPoL, though you have to like to read and write. Those who don't usually just play video games and MMORGs. To each his own.

Over the years, I've done both, often at the same time. This is like the 3rd or 4th on-line PbP site I've participated in. In most ways, I think it's the best. Others have their good points, but this one seems the easiest to use.

I'm currently running a 1st Ed 7th Sea game. Not sure I can swing the new version. Might get a bit confusing between the two.

Anyway, look around. The Forum boards have all sorts of topics and opportunities.
