Mad Mick:
Welcome, man! It's great to see a Fantasy Trip aficionado, and it would be excellent to have a non-freeform Star Trek game here. I've always wanted to try out GURPS Prime Directive, too (not that that would necessarily be your RPG of choice for Trek).
Anyway, it's great to have you!
I've loved TFT ever since it came out in Advanced Melee and Wizard with the main TFT book. I've house-rules it slightly, splitting the stats and increasing the number of points available Each stat has been split into three aspects and the points increased to 100. Basically the first group of stats is Strength, Agility and Intelligence, the second group is Constitution, Dexterity and Education and the third group is Endurance, Willpower and Perception. You have 33 points to divide between the stats in each group, plus onw bonus point which can be put in any stat in any group. This avoids the old problem of wizards having to look like Conan in order to have a decent amount of endurance to power spells. My house-rules system is called <a href ="http://www.coldnorth.com/owen/game/gloryroad/glory-road.htm">The Glory Road<a> stealing the title from Robert Heinlein's novel. A complete rundown of all the house rules is available on the page. The campaign notes section of the page is for a later campaign I ran, but the world I'm inte4rested is my original TFT campaign on a flat world with several tiers (stolen in concept from Philip Jose farmer's World of Tiers without taking any of his storylines). races available aere Humans in just about any variety, Dwarfs, Elfs, Orcs and Cross-breeds (half Elfes and Half Orcs) - note I'm using the old-fashioned Elfs and Dwarfs rather than the more modern Elves and Dwarves.
