I am a newb, and a hypocritical one at that. I used to point and go "LAWL, Table Top games", but now I have the privilege of a lot of free time to learn how to play them. Also, I REALLY like orcs. Yes, even facially. Dice are also fabulous, especially red ones with a number of sides that is a multiple of ten. This "pastel" theme for the site reminds me of a nursery, or a hug from a clown. Nice to meet you. I would shake hands but I forgot to bring my hand sanitizer out with me. :D

Greetings!  Don't worry about germs, I've got a toddler in the house and she might as well be a plague rat (hmm, I sense a new nickname...).

So have you actually tried any games already?  Do you have an idea of what kind of games you'd like to try?  Freeform vs various rules systems, any genre you want, etc.

Also, keep in mind that actual tabletop play is a different experience from play-by-post.  They're both awesome, of course, but in different ways, so playing D&D here (or on any other forum) is going to be different from playing D&D with your friends sitting around a table.
