Hey everyone!

My name is Ross, and I'm real excited to just dive in and get started! It's been a long time since I've rped anything, so I'm rusty, especially in terms of games mechanics, but I'm a decent writer and a quick learner so everything should just go swimmingly! (especially with a good GM)

What's the recommended path to getting started? Just jumping into something from Players Wanted? And in general are games here more frequently based on free form text, or more on mechanics and dice-rolling, like DnD? Either one is cool for me.

Going to the Players Wanted section is a good place to start your search.  If you fail to find anything there that entices your interest, you could always post in the GM Wanted section with what you are looking for in a game.  As for what flies the best here, I believe it is an equal mix of both system based and free form gaming.

I would also recommend reading the FAQ section, if you have not already.  It is easy to read and well written.  This will give you an idea of how the site works.

Note that you can apply to any game that is accepting players (within the limits of any adult restriction). It is then up to the GM whether to admit you.
