Hi! I'm pretty new to DnD and the whole RP scene in general. I've improv-story-homebrewed a couple of super-casual campaigns for my friends, but nothing more than that. I'm looking for a forum that's not too hard to join, fairly relaxed/not too demanding with posts (I'm a busy guy) and is generally friendly and casual. Preferably fantasy or future-based. Anyone have any ideas? Is there anywhere I should be looking?

Welcome to RPOL!

You'll want to go to the Wanted - Players forum and check out the games that are being offered.  Maybe you can find something there that you'll like.  Go to the game, read up on anything the GM has posted for character submissions and rules, and then click on the Request to Join and see if you can join.
