Goodly Greetings

I'm brand new here and hope to have a good time. A little about myself, I'm full of merriment, joy, pep talks, and desires of world domination... wait what? Ignore that last bit, it's unimportant. *waves hands dismissively* I've loved rpg's ever since I was young, (the games obviously, what else could I mean *shifty eyes*) and have played more types than I care to count. I'm 24 now and play all across the spectrum. I tend to play both male and female characters, of all shapes and sizes. I can (and do) run rampant in the equivalent of children's bouncy ball games, turn around and have a serious conversation, then go off to play a mature game. Above all else I believe in humor and the law of funny, unless I am in character at the moment, roughly... 10 hundred bajillion percent of what I say and do is meant to elicit a chuckle. There are exceptions of course, but they are situational. Apparently situational is not a word, I never knew this. *tsks self* Now, I've never actually rped online before until just recently, I've only ever rp'd in person, so if my posts seam weak at first, if you read this then you know why, if not then well... *insert scary growl noise here*. Don't you know, I'm a ferocious kitty! :D I believe that about sums it up. If you don't have a fairly good idea of the type of person I am by now, that's not my fault. If you haven't had at least one smile while reading this, then either I'm doing something wrong or you take life WAY too seriously. Finally, just for funsies, (apparently RPoL's dictionary is off, funsies is totally a word) pop quiz time!

1) Do fish drink water? Explain...

2) Have you ever ordered a Diet Water?

3) What's my gender?

4) Are you awesome?

5) See question 6

6) What should question 5 be?

7) Are you correct? (Hint: Did you answer yes, oh yeah, absolutely, of course, etc. to question 4?)

9) First word that pops into your head... GO!!!

10) Did you notice I skipped 8?

Re: Goodly Greetings

1) Do fish drink water? Explain...
   Yes, every time they eat.

2) Have you ever ordered a Diet Water?
No, but I have ordered one that was caffeine free and received a very blank look for it.

3) What's my gender?
   Elephant and Rhino.

4) Are you awesome?
Only when I'm me or someone else.

5) See question 6
   See answer 6.

6) What should question 5 be?
   What Answer 5 is.

7) Are you correct? (Hint: Did you answer yes, oh yeah, absolutely, of course, etc. to question 4?)
   Only when I'm wrong.

9) First word that pops into your head... GO!!!
   Chinese Boardgame

10) Did you notice I skipped 8?
I wasn't watching you, but I did notice you didn't ask question 8.

Re: Goodly Greetings

Welcome!   I hope you have a good time here.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

1) Do fish drink water? Explain...
Nope.  Those lushes guzzle the stuff.

 2) Have you ever ordered a Diet Water?
Only once. They brought an empty glass.
Helpful Hint: Don't ask servers weird questions during the lunch rush.

 3) What's my gender?
What ISN'T my gender!  Am I right, folks?  Yeah, THAT guys knows what I'm talking about!

 4) Are you awesome?
Nope.  Delightfully mediocre.

 5) See question 6
It's a lovely question. Thank you for drawing my attention to it in such a helpful manner.

 6) What should question 5 be?
It should be in the form of a question, as in "See question 6?".  Or perhaps more accusatory, like "See?  Question 6!" Or perhaps talking to question 6 about something important, like "See, question 6?"

 7) Are you correct? (Hint: Did you answer yes, oh yeah, absolutely, of course, etc. to question 4?)
I'm always correct.  Except when I'm mistaken about something.  Then I'm only mostly correct.

 9) First word that pops into your head... GO!!!
Defenestration and Shenanigans.   It was a tie.

 10) Did you notice I skipped 8?
I'm sorry. Do what now?

Re: Goodly Greetings

Welcome!

I can't usually be bothered with random quizzes, but my mind did wierd things when I read it so you can at least have:

9: Salacious - but the image that popped into my head at the same time was a jar of gherkins.  So, Salacious gherkins?  I'll let you decide how you want to take that.

Re: Goodly Greetings

Now that I'm done laughing, I'll be honest I don't actually know what to put as the second half to this sentence, so I'm just going to end it suddenly PERIOD. I've played mostly 3.5 (not pathfinder surprisingly) when it comes to D&D and NWoD. I've enjoyed the insane worlds of Numenera and Don't Rest Your Head. I have played in as well as created many homebrew worlds, rules, and systems for both rp's and book writing purposes. I once ran a game where the sole player was a lumberjack, and his partner was a necromancer turned banshee who was brought back to life and turned over a new leaf. It was awesome. I don't intend to gm a game on here until I'm more comfortable with non-person-to-person role-playing, but I was wondering, from your respective experiences, if there was any games in particular that you feel I should look into? I was browsing the wanted lists, and noted a few places of interest, but I thought I'd ask for an opinion. Feel free to ignore the next part of this post by the by, I'll just be checking all the styled texts options for a frame of reference.

ZZ Ward is fantastic. I'm a laughing goblin. If you're reading this, then feel applauded. Abra, Kadabra, Alakazam. I like chicken, I like liver, meow mix meow mix, please deliver. Avicii is awesome too. Mary had a little lamb. I once owned a snake, it had a smiley face, on the back of its head. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. ~Inigo Montoya I own a pet bird. I'm made of awesome, and ego, don't forget the ego. Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear.

Re: Goodly Greetings

*smiles*   Laughing is always a good thing.

There are no particular games of interest, per se, but instead dozens and even hundreds that are worthy of your attention.  It's all depending on what you want to do and play.

This thread isn't really meant to specify games as such, but please feel free to poke around the wanted lists and ask any  questions of the gms there.

Re: Goodly Greetings

Thank you all for the warm welcome, good cheer, and willingness to help. Stay awesome out there, or in nuric's case, delightfully mediocre. Take care, and enjoy your days.
