I've been rping over 30 year but I am totally new to rpol and pdp

How do players interact and post during a rp session, is it via rpol or email or?

Games are usually completely played here on the site. Take a look at a few of the games in progress and you'll quickly see how it works, but briefly the GM initiates threads as she/he sees fit to deal with the storyline as well as necessary 'housekeeping' tasks. Players are allowed access by the GM to view and/or post in the threads. There is usually some target posting rate to keep the game moving along.

Usually entirely through rpol.  As well as the threads, I'll point out that rpol does have its own IRC (chat is near the top right of your screen on the homepage), which can be useful for moving things like combat scenes on a bit faster if you're all in the same timezone/available.
