Im new here, a few years back i used to play by post online some place, but so long ago i cant remember where. I have always wanted to play d&d or pathfinder but never known anyone who does it :(
I have moved to a new city and often have time on my hands now, would like to get back into this.
I do remember that often me being on British time made me miss the peak posting time but im happy to work around that.
I would like to find a well kept game to ease me back into how to play (I also remember GM's who only post once a day and often be very short posts, so i spent a lot of time wondering around doing anything i liked)
I like fantasy types, im not a crazy fighter and often paired up with others, i have even been GM to a sci-fi fantasy i wrote before.
Would be nice to find a good game anywho and get to know some people :)

Welcome, GriffinAndGirl!  Pathfinder and D&D are pretty popular here, so you should be able to find a game that matches your tastes.

GMs differ in style.  Some set the basic scene and leave most of it to the players' imagination, and others weave richly detailed stories.  You'll find both here.

Keep an eye on Wanted Players, found here:  link to another game.  That's the place where GMs post looking for players.  If you can't find what you're looking for, you can try a site search at the bottom of the main page or post an ad in Wanted Players, found here:  link to another game.

Make sure you check out the Help and FAQs up at the top right, too.  They're quite helpful.  =)

Welcome!  Always good to see more of us Brits!  Don't worry too much about "peak" posting times, it usually seems to work out.

Peak? Bah no one cares about that. People across the world are on this site. I once ran a dnd game on chatzilla with, well just that. So it was a slow game, and lack of sleep was involved in some of us to play!

Not sure if im being a bit too selective or theres not much that floats my goat on this site, i cant seem to find any active games that interest me, i mean it doesnt help with the many many choices maybe. Everyone i have clicked on so far has no players, or the one i have just started, at the moment its a bit slow as there are 5 players all in different parts of the world, and the GM has announced that its 'sandbox' and we need to keep track of our own stuff, which wasnt really what i wanted =/ hmm.
I just dont really want to be in constant battle... or a vampire haha, maybe im just not giving them a chance though :P

Have you posted over in the Wanted - GMs forum?

You can make a post there describing what and how you want to play, then GMs whose games fit that description can tell you about their games.  It's often easier than browsing or using Wanted - Players to find a game.

You can also browse the site games on the main page, too, to check out all the active games.  Choose the categoties of games you're looking for, and make sure the box "Only active games requesting new players" is ticked.  I've found some great games that way.
