Hi I just joined this site and was wondering if i could have a mentor to guide me through this site until I become used to it. I am used to role-playing through D&D and other in person games also recently through an awesome app. I suck at words sometimes (that's a joke) and love to joke around too but will be serious when i need to be.

Hi, back the people here are mostly very friendly and helpful..
That said always be careful to read the instructions, whether it is things like "RTJs" in the games, or the pinned rules at the top of this Forum... not that I see a sign you didn't.  This has been an on going establishment for a long time. To make sure things run smoothly some things have to be done a certain way.

Also - the most helpful thing to do is read the FAQs in the upper right hand corner.  There is a lot of good information there about what you can (and can not) do in games.  You will find a lot of D&D games (from 1st ed - through 5th and Pathfinder) in the Player's Wanted.  Or if there is not a game to your liking 'hiring', you can always ask for one in the GM's wanted.
