Hello all I just registered here after hearing about this site from a registered user on AEG website (makers of Legend of the 5 Rings L5R) I've played pen and paper RPG's of all types shapes and sorts since late middle school- mid High school. roughly 1994-1997 past games/ systems include AD&D 2nd ed/D&D v 3.5/D20 modern/Star Wars (revised and saga editions/VtM/VtR. Have read other systems including WtA/WtF/Shadowrun 4th ed/D&D 4th ed/L5R. Looking to play any of the above mentioned games so any advice tips or even pointing me in the general direction of an answer would be greatly appreciated

Welcome!  It looks like you and I started playing around the same time.  =)  Our group started out in Star Wars and MERP before moving on to AD&D 2E.  You'll find quite a number of games in a wide variety of genres and systems here.

The first place to go is the FAQs up in the top right.  They list most of what you need to know about finding games or starting your own.   The best place to find new games is the Wanted - Players forum.  Interest in new games is often gauged first in Game Proposals, Interest, and Advice, so it's worth looking there, too.  You can also browse games looking for new players from the bottom of the main screen.   If you still can't find what you're looking for, you can request games in the Wanted - GMs thread.
