More newness

Okay so I have trieda few of these sites/forums lately and well, I'm skeptical to be honest but what's the harm in trying another I suppose. I have been rping for around 20 years tabletop (DMing,PC, etc.) and though I have about 10 years worth of text based (or post by post) it has been a few years since Ive done anything to that extent seriously. Anyhow, I hope this is better than most I've tried recently which were primarily filled with kids and where that isnt a big issue it is restrictive to certain play styles, so all in all heres hoping I can find a few mature players and fun gaming at RPoL.

Re: More newness

That was a mouthful, my friend.  But don't worry, you've found a wonderful site!    I can't say that Rpol is perfect, I suppose, but it's an amazing site with some incredible writers and roleplayers.

We've got a HUGE number of players here, so of course there will be some kids or socially dysfunctional adults, but for the most part they're very talented and fun.  Some of the best I've met, and I've been privileged to game with some fantastic people over the years.

To start off, I'd recommend reading the FAQ section at the top right, though much of it might be things you already know.  Then jump right into the Forums, with "Wanted - Players" being a top pick.  You can also post in "Wanted GMs" to ask for any game  you'd like.

What are you interested in?

Re: More newness

Thank you for the quick and friendly reply. The FAQs are pretty common sense from what I read so far so aside from site mechanics I dont see me having too much of a problem. I'm partial to medievil/fantasy or scifi but always open to anything with a good plot, very rarely though will I do "slice of life" RP, other than that I'm very open to various settings and genre.

Re: More newness

You'll find all of that and more in our games section.  We have a little something for everyone.   Including games you've probably never heard of.  I know I haven't.   :)
