I am thrilled about joining this community, especially as it has been a while since I've truly let loose and touched into my creativity. I'm still a little unsure about how all this works, but I'm reading through the FAQs and slowly becoming more familiar. If anyone can offer advice or just want a chat, let me know!

The usual advice is to read the FAQs, check out the Players Wanted forum, the GMs Wanted forum, and the Game and GM search function at the bottom of the Main Menu (homepage).

Rpol is basically a collection of games and chat threads. If you find a game you fancy, drop a RTJ (request to join) to the GM (game master) and see if you can take part.

Other than that, just ask any questions you may have.

What genres interest you?

I'm interested in fantasy more than anything else. Perhaps fairies, werewolves, vampires etc. I like romance with a hint of angst.
On a separate note; I also speak Japanese and am pretty knowledgeable when it comes to Edo era samurai or ninjas. Any recommendations?

1) Post that same info in "Wanted GMs" see what turns up

2) while waiting use RPOL search at the bottom of the main screen and see what ye can find

Brygun's right, we can't make recommendations in the Beginners Forum, but you can ask in the GMs Wanted for the type of game you want.
