RIP Bill Paxton

He played prominent roles in a lot of my favorite movies from the 80's and 90's...and as someone who's been on the acting side of things a few times, I loved the fact that he was willing to play weasels and sleazy characters (specifically thinking of his role in 'True Lies') with the same level of dedication and commitment that he played characters like Hudson in Aliens, or his role in Twister.

Always a joy to watch.  Might have to have my own private Bill Paxton film festival over the next few nights...

RIP Bill Paxton

I believe the first movie I ever saw him in was 'Near Dark' and the next one might have been 'Next of Kin'.

He made roles, both big and small, memorable.

RIP Bill Paxton

I just got done watching 'Hatfields and McCoys' TV series on DVD. Bill had parts in many great movies. Many great lines. My personal favorite is Bill playing the Punk Leader in Terminator...

Punk Leader: [the Terminator arrives naked and encounters some punks, standing next to a telescope] Nice night for a walk, eh?
The Terminator: Nice night for a walk.
Punk: Wash day tomorrow? Nothing clean, right?
The Terminator: Nothing clean. Right.
Punk Leader: Hey, I think this guy's a couple cans short of a six-pack.

Both actors would go on to be in the movie,.. True Lies

I hope Bill will have a special tribute done for him.

One movie of his that was great but gets less attention than I think it should was "Frailty," which I believe he wrote and directed too.

So good, in so many things.
So understated and underrated in general, but always fantastic
