Sadly the actor who portrayed Shepherd Book in Firefly has passed away aged 71.

Very sad news.

I loved WKRP, I loved Firefly . . .

I never realized he was the same actor, and that takes what I thought were two amazing actors and turns them into one truly irreplaceable actor.

His work stands as a testament to his craft

Edit: Turns out he's not Venus (who was Tim Reid). Still both amazing actors.

Both good actors, and I'm sorry to hear that Ron Glass passed.  Shephard Book was one of my favorite characters ever.

Yes, very sad ... would have loved to have seen so much more of his character's backstory.
