RIP Kenny Baker

This was the man Inside R2D2. I just learned he died Aug 12 of this year.

quote:
Kenneth George "Kenny" Baker (24 August 1934 – 13 August 2016) was an English actor and musician. He was best known for portraying the character R2-D2 in the highly successful Star Wars science fiction movie franchise.

This is the first line from Wikipedia about him. It's an interesting biography and I think fans who liked his work, which brought one of the most Star Wars characters to life, should read it.

Yeah, I loved that movie.

it's interesting to note that Andowyne, the planet where the story of willow is set, is part of the starwars galaxy!

I'm sure the Empire would, if Andowyne had any worth while resources it wish to claim dominion over and appropriate it.  It's not like in Star Trek.  Where the Federation has 'The Prime Directive'. Precludes interference in the normal development of a society. When dealing with primitive cultures.
