Using Ambient atmospheres audio files in your IC posts

I think this is the correct thread to post this in.  Moderator feel free to move it if it isn't.

Anyway, I just accidentally came across the site below and it got me thinking.  I don't know if most people here are like me.  An usually have more then one window open to Rpol, when they are posting things here.  There always seems to be some fact or word spelling I need from a post further back down the thread then it shows or in another thread or perhaps a PM.  Thus I use that second window for retrieving such.  So why not as a GM include a audio link to a specific Ambient atmospheres file listed at the site below.

Ambient atmospheres for RPG Environments and more!
http://rpg.ambient-mixer.com/

For example, here is a file entitled: D&D fantasy Inn/pub/tavern
http://rpg.ambient-mixer.com/d...ntasy-inn-pub-tavern

You can use your second open window to listen to it while your posting.   Or open a third window to Rpol, like I do and listen to it there.

When you click on it link, you can adjust the different channels if you wish or just click  on 'Fullscreen image' and get a nice related picture to look at.  Or just down size or minimize it.  An hit the back arrow when your tired of listening to it.

As a Player you might also want to add a audio 'Ambient atmospheres' with your next IC, to jazz things up.  Maybe your GM will catch on.  Either way, as a GM or a Player, you'll probably need to put a little message such as this above the link:
'Click on the link below for related ambient atmospheric audio.  When done listening, click on back arrow to return here.'  Or the like.

So what do you think.  Will it add to the 'immersive' value of your game?  Or do think others will think it is to much of haste?  They can always just open it for 15-20 seconds to get the jest of it.  Then back arrow their way back to the game thread.

There are plenty of other great audio file in other Ambient categories such as Nature, Music.  There are some pretty good ones also under Holiday/Halloween.  Also check out the one labeled 'Other atmospheres'.

I found this one called 'Ancient Forest Temple' that is pretty cool.

I've been looking around the site and there are a lot of great audio files everywhere.
Be sure to check out the unreal atmospheres and enviromental/warfare categories.

Here's 'Cthulhu 2,' from the first.
http://horror.ambient-mixer.com/cthulhu--2

And 'medieval/fantasy battleground' from the second.
http://warfare.ambient-mixer.c...fantasy-battleground

You can also just type in most any word in the search engine and find a related audio file.  It's pretty great!

Yes, very cool!!!  Adding one to your post would definitely add a little pizzazz to things.  Way to think outside the box.

There's also this place:

http://tabletopaudio.com/

Not as customizable, but apparently will run on a kindle while the other place won't.

Probably this:

Can I send a link to a playlist to my friends?
Yes! You can now click the Link button on the bottom of the player to generate a link to whatever is currently loaded in your playlist. Copy and Paste the link into an email, text message, browser etc. and the page will load with a pre-populated playlist.

So you'd have to create a playlist and then share the link in your game with your players.
