NaNoWriMos on RPoL?

Howdy all.

It's the first day of National Novel Writing Month, and some of you know what that means! That's right, it's time to get to writing 50,000 words in 30 days. Just as Inktober is for artists, NaNo is for novelists (both professional and not-so professional). It's a great little competition that I've participated in every year since 2010 (except for 2011, because reasons), and so I figured I should talk about it somewhere, right?

Anyways, I just figured I'd start a thread for people to share wordcounts, story ideas, get advice, etc. I know NaNo has their own site and forums for such things, but I'm on RPoL a lot more often, and sub-communities are the best anyways. Right? Right. I may be the only one, but I'm hoping not.

Happy Writing!

-Tyr

On a side note: I'm just really hoping that making this thread in Community Chat isn't too taboo.

Not for me this year. I'm more into NaKniSweMo (sweater knitting), but I'm cheering you guys on!

NaNoWriMos on RPoL?

I think we get a Nano thread almost every year.

I'm doing it this year, for the first time in a while. I'm feeling good about my idea and I managed 2300 words today without breaking my poor brain.

I'm el_destructor on the Nano forums, if anyone is into Writing Buddies!

Way to be! I just passed 5k, and I'm still going pretty strong. I usually write like a maniac for a bit and then end up taking a few days off near the end. You know, because I'm crazy like that.

Good on you guys.  November is entirely too busy for me to think about doing this, but I always enjoy the works of people that do.

NaNoWriMos on RPoL?

I'm cursing myself for not doing it this year. I have two really solid ideas but given how I'm struggling to keep up with my rPoL games this year I can't justify cutting out more time for novels.

I've got two under my belt already, and I've got two more ideas I'd really like to explore. What's kind of funny is that for my last book I finished it and was under word count so I went straight into the next idea so last year's nanowrimo is like 40 chapters of book A and 3 chapters of Book B. Next year it'll probably end up being 40 chapters of book B and 3 chapters of Book C and so on...

BLASPHEMER!

Actually, I don't think NaNo has any rules again that, so no big. ;D I'm staying about three days ahead of the curve right now, because I'm crazy like that and have way too much free time on my hands (since people generally don't play the games I like to play... anywhere on Earth). It's all gravy, baby.
