Just curious if that is still happening a lot out there.  Sadly I haven't since 2009.

Yes.

I have one on Wednesdays. We're playing Marvel Heroic Roleplaying at the moment.

I play a bi-weekly game that alternates between Rise of the Runelords and Serpent's Skull run so each GM gets to play as well. We play every other week since we play 8 hour sessions on Sundays.

Nope, I've tried to - but, I find more and more - everything devolves into a variation of peer-n-pretzels.  (not necessarily literally).

I do play some table-top (currently FFG X-wing is popular with my family and some friends).

But, I find very little RPing, or even attempts at story/creation are made, instead it's more of an excuse to socialize elsewise.  Which is completely fine - but, I am one of those laser-focused persons who becomes confused when a purpose is derailed.

If I want to socialize, I just get alcohol and chips and socialize.  Don't need to add an RPG to it =)

Not since last spring. I travel often for work, but six months ago I put down roots long enough to join a Saturday game. That was two job sites ago. Looking forward to another move and another game group next spring.

Not since college. Nearly perfect lifestyle for multiple geeks to assemble.

I do.  It's still pretty much the same gaming group from college (with one or two new members to replace others who are no longer in our city.  ^_^  We switch out GMs and systems, everything from sci-fi to fantasy in a wide variety of systems.

I do. There's a Wednesday Runequest game I play in and my group meets on Saturdays to play AD&D. Of course, three of the guys know each other through the military and have been stationed in the same places a couple of times, and without them the group would be just three people.

I have been running a bi-monthly game for the past 9 months, but prior to that it had been about six years since I last played or ran a face-to-face game. My life has finally gotten to a point where I can carve out a solid block of 3-4 hours, twice a month for gaming.

Unfortunately, due to current work schedules, my current weekly RL game is on hiatus...

I did, weekly, for almost a whole year, with my table of 6... until June. People's schedules got complicated, gathering around the table became complicated... But we found a way to end our Black Flag campaign in a great way. I'll probably remember my character for long, at least for his longevity :)

I play in two bi-weekly games.  Friday night, we currently are playing Trail of Cthulu (before that Dresden Files).  Saturday, different group plays at our house.  Just finishing an Pathfinder game in the Al Qadim setting, and soon to start a 5th Edition D&D game(Princes of the Apocalypse).

I've been fortunate to have been playing tabletops regularly for 25+ years.   Longest campaign was about 7 years.  We only got to level 12 or 13, since everyone enjoyed the role-playing side.  The GM would level us up after 9-12 months.   Sometimes take the summers off as people have other stuff going on.

Recently started in a bi-weekly game. Logistically, it's a serious challenge for me, and it's taken almost 3 years to find a game that might work at all based on location, day, and time. But, we've met 5 times time (which is 3 times more than the prior two groups lasted), despite the disruption when the GM unexpected went into the hospital, and it looks like it'll keep going.

This particular group has a lot less RP in it than I'd like, but I am enjoying the social aspect, after ~20 years without it, and the hands-on aspect (I'm a tactile learner) is noticeably accelerating my grasp of the system (vs. learning it via PBP). Also helps to be able to ask about a point, and get an immediate explanation.

So, not a perfect fit and not easy to manage in my circumstances, but I can, and want, to work with it.

I'm still hoping, eventually, to find something local, but even though my town city-fied itself almost a decade ago now, only the tweens and teens are that lucky yet. They get to have a weekly session at the library. The adult population in town seems to think board games and bunco defines gaming. :P

I've got two weekly game sessions right now, with one alternating between campaigns.  Only the one on Wednesdays is in person, though.  Then I've got one bi-weekly one that's sort of in person and sort of not?  Kinda complicated, since we all use roll20.net for it and have an online chat room, but half the group (myself included) all do it from the DM's house so we can hang out before and after.

Some friends and I meet every Monday at our local comic/gaming store to do Pathfinder. We run two games a month. The first two weeks one friend DM's his game, then the next two weeks another runs his. On the occasional month with 5 Mondays we either play card/board games or run an extra session of one of the games.

There's a group here in Hong Kong that has quite a number of games going each week.  Sadly, I'm too busy to join up, but there are quite a few people involved in the different campaigns.

I play in, and co-GM, a weekly Pathfinder game. My sister and I alternate GM duties weekly, putting my wife and my brother-in-law through the paces. We've got several story arcs going right now including an all-Druid campaign through a haunted land, a Drow "game show", and another where our characters are harbingers of the Apocalypse.

I'm also in the process of teaching them all the A Time of War BattleTech RPG system, which will be entered into the rotation once everybody feels comfortable enough with the setting. I, uh....I foresee this one ending badly.

I have been part of a group that gets together every weekend, usually on Saturday but sometimes on Sunday, and we have done so for over 30 years now.  Well, myself and a couple have been gaming together that long. There have been other players come and go.  The current group consists of me and my wife, the other couple and a two friends.  One of the friends has been gaming with us for 15 years and the other for 11.  My wife has been gaming with us for 5 1/2 years.  We play Runequest system with house rules. We have played fantasy setting, modern setting, future and the current game, which I GM is Old West supernatural.

I have on many occasions but they seldom turn out well here, this town is full of lots of bad people. Soon as I move out though one of the first things I do when I settle in is look into running my game or joining some one's.

Absolutely. I have a Wednesday night game that's been going with most of the same folks since 1990, with a few hiccups here and there, and we've steadily moved from 1E ADnD to a 1e/2e ADnD Hybrid to 3.0 then 3.5, tried 4e and now have played pathfinder pretty exclusively for the last few years.

Most of that same group, with a few older members of the original group who dropped out due to RL, meet 1 Saturday a month as well to play a longer day (12+ hours) of a separate PF campaign. Most of us have kids in college or high school now, and we've all become great friends as well over 20+ years.

Monday night a friend of ours runs a Vampire the Masquerade homebrew game, Wednesday I run a modified version of Pathfinder's Way of the Wicked, and Saturdays my girlfriend's friends host a variety of games ranging from 13th Age, to Unknown Armies, to FATE and Apocalypse World. Sometimes I feel like I have a second full time job (albeit one that I enjoy! XD)
