More DnD 5e?

Im liking this site so far, tho it feels a little more 3.5 centric after perusing through your "players wanted" section. I wish there was more 5e games being played here.

Well, you can't force a GM to run games using a specific rule set (the site is intended to be used with any system), but you can try making a post in Wanted -GMs to see if somebody will run a game for you.

Re: More DnD 5e?

I've been running a game of it for my RL group for about six months now, and I'm... honestly not that trilled with it.  Yes, it runs smoothly, but so did any other edition when the players bothered to learn the rules instead of relying on the DM to force feed it to them (with 4th being the exception, if only because there was too much character-specific stuff for the DM to succeed at that, in general).  My main frustration is that the PCs get to make a whole lot of choices about their characters that don't seem to mean all of that much in the long run.

Anyway, there are two ways to promote a game system on RPOL.  First, you can run a game or three of it yourself.  Running good games spawns more games of that type.

The second way you can do it is, as BBR suggests, to post in Wanted: GM.  If you do so, I suggest doing a little more than "Hey, someone run 5e for me!"  Put some effort into selling it and you'll probably have better results.
