Anyone else see it this past weekend? I took my mother and kid and gf and we all thought it was amazing. Everything anyone could have wanted in a franchise reboot. And the fact that it was really Furiosa's story and not Max's was such a wonderful, interesting, refreshing choice that it made me love it all the more.

Best film I've seen in the past decade

Wildly stylized and completely over the top, but that's the point.  I had a lot of fun watching it.

I haven't seen it yet, but a lot of the reviews I'm hearing for it remind me of when The Road Warrior came out...it was utterly unlike anything anyone had expected it to be, and several critics praised the fact that the obvious love interest presented early in the film never actually turned into one--flying in the face of Hollywood's film formula.

I'm really looking forward to seeing it.

It's an amazing movie and a masterclass in worldbuilding for post-apocalyptic GMs.

 Essentially the corpses of thirty years of action movies ground up and intravenously injected into your eyeballs while they're wide open, staring at the world-building. ^_^
