Anyone know why RPOL went down for like 4-5 hours?

The time stamps seem to be bugging out too.  Someone who posted in one of my games earlier today is showing as having last logged in on 'Fri. April 17th' like it was more than two days ago. :/

Silver, that would be two days FROM NOW... (Depending on time zone, for me it would just be tomorrow.)

I realize that.  Which is why I am incredibly confused.  It definitely wasn't the 17th in any time zone when that post was made and the player last logged on.

That makes things SUPER bizarre.

The announcements thread tells me that rpol now has a new server. So the downtime was probably the transfer of all our data, still in the right place, to the new server drives. Pretty neat.

Mightn't have been far off though. You posted here at 8am on the 17th for me; and NZ is another 2 hours ahead.

What's really weird about it is the time stamp in the cast list section.  You know how it will say 'today' or 'yesterday' for the last login time, and then the date if it was earlier than that?  Well it had the date at Fri. April 17th, as if that had been more than 2 days ago.

Not that it really matters, I just take notice whenever things go haywire in little ways.  I figure they're just messing with the site.  For a little while the red numbers wouldn't go away in my game either, even when I clicked 'mark all as read.'

Ratiuonally unconcerned; emotionally worried. All of me happy it's back up.

I had the same thing happen with one of my player logins. It states his 'last game login' as tomorrow, 12:28, Fri, 17 Apr.

Hopefully it's a glitch that will right itself soon.

Either that, or we have time travelers in our midst.

Either time travelers, or RPoL has gained dark powers of precognition. Be careful, everyone whose last login has been predicted! :P

That announcement was posted about a year ago, so not exactly a "new" server.
