Re: Daredevil: The man without fear

Stick was my favorite out of all of the characters so far. I wanted to see more of him.

I'm just finishing episode 11 of 13

Re: Daredevil: The man without fear

I'm on 9 right now, can't stop watching it even though I should be working on my games lol. I can't wait for the other series to come out, I think Iron Fist is going to be one of them - but I have yet to really check back up on the marvel netflix shows.

Re: Daredevil: The man without fear

I'm not sure if its a solo Iron Fist series or not. I think its going to be Heroes for Hire featuring both Iron Fist and Luke Cage

Re: Daredevil: The man without fear

My question is, who is the guy Stick is talking to?  Is that Stone?

I thought I heard Keith Davis's voice, I checked IMDB, no credit for whomever Stick was talking to, no voice credit for Keith David.

Given the fighting style of Daredevil, I can not help but think it is dialed down, gritty and realistic, brawl type, because when Danny Rand comes 'round, he has the fluid martial style that is the gold standard of skill.

Having said that, I also look forward to Luke Cage dealing with punks.

Re: Daredevil: The man without fear

The internet says it will be four separate shows starring Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Jessica Jones.  Then there will be some sort of crossover miniseries with all of them.

Haven't started watching yet, but it is next on my list.  Actually just finished catching up on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which I originally gave up on somewhere in the middle of episode three of the first season.  It's slow going at first but it does eventually find its voice and get pretty good.  I'm interested in seeing what lessons they learned from that show which likely went into Daredevil in terms of making sure it hits the ground running.

In reply to Vane66 (msg # 5):

It will be exactly that, a solo series for each leading up to 'the Defenders' miniseries.

Re: Daredevil: The man without fear

So...

I liked it...

all the way up to the last episode.

I wasn't wild about the final Daredevil outfit.  I thought it could have been better.

Maybe it's just me, but I thought that the home made mask and outfit had more character.

I don't know.  Like I said, maybe it's just me.

I will watch the next season, as well as Iron Fist, Luke Cage, etc.

Marvel has made enough of an attempt at making it's visual forays of good quality to have earned at least the curiosity of wondering how their latest attempt will shake out.

Re: Daredevil: The man without fear

Well I looked it up, and it appear we may all have to wait a year before AKA (the jessica jones show) is released. Course I'm sure someone else could find better info, from what I read Netflix wants to release each miniseries a year apart. I hope its just like a month or something, gimmie more Hells Kitchen stories!

Re: Daredevil: The man without fear

Here, here! I think I found all the easter eggs in the series but I'm not sure.

So far I think these are easter eggs(and probably more than a little foreshadowing tossed in):
Sorry if this is a little spoilery, tried not to toss in too much of that.

-Stan Lee on the wall in the police station, Officer Lee
-the allusion to the Steel Serpent(an Iron Fist villain)
-Creel, also shown in AoS at the beginning of season 2
-Ninjas, probably will introduce the Hand at some point.
-More than one reference to Roxxon Oil
-the Owl, one of the Kingpin's crime boss friends.
-the Night Nurse, played by Rosario Dawson
-St.Agnes Orphanage(also where Skye in AoS stayed as a kid)
-Atlas investments is also a nod to Atlas Comics, the precursor to Marvel.
-Melvin the armor maker is, in the comics, also Gladiator and he had Stiltman's legs in the background in his workshop.
-I also noticed that Stick is taking orders from someone, most likely Stone, that will be a cool thread if they ever get there.

I probably missed some but those were the ones I thought were interesting.

Re: Daredevil: The man without fear

This like a smallville type show? Sounds really interesting from what you guys have said about it, but never watched it myself. :)

Gods no, smallville is full of bunch of unnecessary romance nonsense. This show is actually good.

Awesome show.

Although I've found a funny side too: Matt Murdock looks very similar to Nick from "New Girl" so, everytime I see him, I wait him to shout some "Jess" sooner or later. :D

Re: Daredevil: The man without fear

Have seen all S2 episodes.

The writing, the character of both Punisher and Elektra, complex, and contrast to matt, seeing the decisions he has to make, am have a little bit of awe for how well it all works.

Watching the last episode now. This season really has been beyond words. The crossovers, the new suit, the new weapons, Punisher and Elektra done RIGHT! I'm nerdgasming so hard I can't form real thoughts.

My only cringe is the opening credits, just... I know it is stylized and represents the city drenched in blood, but damn, seems a bit over the top.
