Mustard Tiger:
Huh. Haven't run into any issues so far. About 20 hours or so in, I think.
And I rarely buy games within a week of release anymore. Generally I try to wait a few weeks or even longer until the patches come in. I think it's because developers think they can just rely on quickly released patches to address issues that might otherwise delay the game.
Same here. I've been playing for quite a while, and I've yet to run into anything. It could continue that way, and I could run into a HUGE bug right after I post this. Let's just not pretend that's a problem unique to this developer. With the way development and the industry works now, it's the luck of the draw with basically
any recently released game; Obsidian's "lol buggy games!!!" rep is far more memetic than factual at this point. Pillars is a blast and I'm loving every minute of it. The game is quality, period - it does what it sets out to do very, very well.
I agree with Mustard Tiger that more varied environments would've been nice, but the setting is insanely thoughtful and rich in detail, and I actually love the party members that I've met so far. I actually can't see myself going with a custom-made party anytime soon (like I frequently did in Baldur's Gate) because I love the companions way too much. also Cipher is such a cool and fun class y'all
