Re: gunslinger optemise
That's burst damage.
No problem.
At 15 character creation points you're going to be a bit strapped on maxing anything in particular.
STR: 10
DEX: 14 or 16 (+2 with Human) to make a total of 16 or 18.
CON: 12 or 10
INT: 12 or 10
WIS: 14
CHA: 10
If you opt for the 16 DEX, you're going to have to stay at 10 CON and INT. This will hurt, considering that gunslingers don't usually get to stay that far out of range.
The good news is - with your range bonus and rapid reload; you'll actually have a relatively good chance of being able to bounce-around 30 feet at a time and still fire. Unfortunately, you're still going to end up in VERY close range a lot.
The key here will always be to never spend your last point of grit.
Deeds: you're basically deciding between Quick Clear and DeadEye. DeadEye gets expensive to use very fast though with reductions.
Stick with the musket over the musket axe. You'll need the damage, and if you actually get into melee... well with your low con you'll just have to hope your party can sustain you.
Also, the higher damage of the Musket will help quite a bit. Especially against touch AC.
Skills: Make sure you have Craft (blacksmithing or whatever the GM says applies to firearms), Craft (Alchemy - so you can make your own ammo), and Perception. After that it's all up to you.
Deadly Aim is your first feat. No joke. It's like a ranged power attack, but more brutal. You already hit touch AC; you can pretty much count on NOT missing.
The Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot, and Rapid Shot feats are the next on your list. If you're human you can already get one of them.
You already start with Rapid Reload - so you're set there.
Remember you can't safely go above light armor. So, go for a buckler when you can (MW that is.)
Bandolier, Gunsmith Kit, Powder horn. Have them. Buy them. Have extras.
Traits: If you get traits, choose between Reactionary and Veteran of Battle for your first.
Indomitable Faith for your second, that or a wealth-based one.
