How can Shonen Final Burst work on RPoL?

Hi! I've had this game on my mind for a while, but haven't had a chance to see how to work this kind of game here on RPoL, or in fact in any online venue at all. The problem comes in the card-based mechanics, and while there are a few ways to handle playing cards online, none I've found allow the kind of deck customization this game requires.

Every player gets their own deck of playing cards with the face cards removed. Bosses (super bad tough enemies) get a deck made out of just the face cards from a number of decks. The XP system includes changing around the cards in your deck to favor particular numbers or suits. Also, certain abilities allow you to do things like look at the top five cards in the deck, rearrange them, and put them back down. Not a clue how to handle that online.

The other issue is actually playing the cards: on a tabletop, everyone plays their cards face down, then flips them simultaneously. Only way I can see getting around that here is to have both players PM a third party with their cardplay, who then reveals the results to everyone.

Anyone have any thoughts on how to make this game work in the RPoL setting? In particular, the customized card decks are my real source of trouble. Especially because, when using card games, I like the deck shrinking over time and cards going into the discard pile. Things like that really affect the probability and strategy of a game, but I've never seen a way to implement them online.

Re: How can Shonen Final Burst work on RPoL?

Leaving aside some of the issues the game has as a whole, you pretty much hit how the game would have to be run on the head.

A gm/third party would have to "deal" each player their hand, either via physical decks they have offline or by using rpol's card "roller" to draw all 52 cards to get the order of the ones you want, then doling out what's next to each player.

Everything would be to be done via PM/private lines to facilitate the lay and flip of the cards.

So a lot of work to make it run here.  Other games that use card mechanics pretty much have to do the same thing, or come up with a dice based solution which I don't think would be as effective or easy to play.
