Osprey Publishing putting out "Fantasy Warfare" Books

https://ospreypublishing.com/blog/the_orcs_are_coming/

As a gamer and a fan of the famous Osprey military history books that use maps and illustrations to great effect to help history buffs and gaming fans understand tactics, this is pretty awesome. Apparently, Osprey is publishing a series on fantasy warfare, starting with orcs. It's being developed with the help of a former WoTC creative director. Anyway, I thought some people here might find this interesting.

Disclaimer: I have no financial connection to Osprey at all. I only thought people would find this interesting.

Dude that was a cool link, I hadn't realized who Osprey was until I saw the bolt action books. Thanks for the link!

They're really well done. Lots of written information but also plenty of graphics so you can see uniforms and movements. Descriptions of weapons and such. As a GM who tries to use realism where possible, I find them an invaluable resource.

Those books are awesome.  I was introduced to them years and years ago when I worked for a distributor of gaming aids.  They only dealt with the historical battles through our own history at the time, meaning it was only an introduction.  But now that they are doing fantasy warfare, this could be really cool indeed.
