Need Help Identifying a Movie Gun

In the (admittedly horrible) movie Dark Shadows, one of the characters uses a shotgun.  I may be ex-military, but I know diddly squat about guns and this movie wasn't in the Internet Movie Firearms Database.

Here's a safe-for-all-ages-and-work reference pic:  https://dionwynhughes.files.wo...shadows_original.jpg

The nearest I can guess is a Winchester M1912 Riot Gun, but the wood of the pump section doesn't seem to be carved the same and the sights at the end of the barrel are definitely wrong.  Like I said, tho, I really don't know anything about guns so it could be something else or a customization of this one.

Any gun nuts out there able to identify it for a gamer with waaaaay to strong a need to match her character to a reference pic?  ^_^

I think your right, but maybe its a savage arms version? I know they made a few 'clones' of that model. But you know how Hollywood is, it may very well be a Winchester that was modified to fit a certain look for the movie. Besides for each model of gun to come out, theirs like a billion clones that have variations that make the whole exercise want to pull your hair out.

Re: Need Help Identifying a Movie Gun

I'm going to second Bob there.  Especially for something like a "standard" shotgun, there were/are just sooo many manufacturers.  Heck, Sears-Roebuck even made them.  Most of the time the only way to identify them is to look for manufacturers marks.
