girl in green:
Aww, I wanna boop their little noses. :B
I've never actually had a rabbit for a pet before. Do they like to be picked up and petted and all that stuff?
It depends on the bunny. We have bunnies as small as these new babies which will grow to a kilo and a half at the MAX and Flemish Giants and Newzealnd Whites which can grow as large as 4 kilos or more. Our biggest rabbits is Watson and he weighs about 3 kilos at the moment.
No rabbit really likes being picked up as they are prey animals but once you have them, they do enjoy a pat. The bigger they are the more bond you have to establish with them because they can hurt you if they get scared. If you want a pet that really likes a cuddle, a Guinea Pig is the way to go. They are increible expressive! They will look you right in the eye and chortle/vibrate happily as you scratch them under the chin.
Of course that being said we also have three rabbits that we had to hand raise. Their mother died when they were just born and we were given them by a friend who just didn't know what to do. Hand raising rabbits is incredibly difficult but we got three to survive and they are unlike any other rabbit. They will crawl onto your lap and come when called.
