Re: Best Funny or Epic Moments in Gaming
In the old WOD Vampire LARP, I played a Malkavian whose insanity was to Narate all his actions as he did them in the Film Noire style (old Detective style narration).
I walked up to a new neonate Toreador who had just joined, narrating how I was approaching the beautiful dame, who could be trouble.
" ' Hello. ' I said to her in a calm voice, trying to hide the effects of her beauty on my emotional state. ' What's a broad like you doing in a place like this?' I asked, generally interested in her response while keeping my eyes peeled for Randall."
The player was confused, of course. "Is Randall someone I should be watching out for?"
My character stared at her for a moment, frowning. I then responded to her in a normal voice:
" 'Quit reading my mind!' I screamed at her, the rage in my heart threatening to overcome my civility. 'You've broken the sanctity of the Elysium! I should get the Harpy to teach you the rules, doll. Do not think that this slight will go unpunished.' I blurted out at the end, lying as I knew I was a sucker for a sob story, and easily placated by attention."
She stared at me for a moment, and the realizing how much status I had asked me what she could do to apologize.
" 'I am sure we can work something out.' I said, staring at the gun in her pocket... Or was I just happy to see her? 'A pretty bird told me that you sing, I would love to hear your voice right now.' I said, a twinkle in my eye.' "
So she sang Old MacDonald had a farm to me in the middle of the hall so that everyone could hear. Then we had to convince the Harpy that I had not dominated her into singing.
I so enjoyed that character.
