Re: Is it Late for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 2nd Ed?
I picked up my Amber RPG books on eBay...a friend of mine finished out her collection of the Star Wars D6 rulebooks and sourcebooks that way. In both cases, the games were long since out of print.
The drawback to eBay is that you can never be sure stuff will be available, but if you're dealing with OOP games, you have that problem anywhere, pretty much. But there's no such thing as 'too late' for a game...just on RPOL alone, I'm in a Shadowrun game that started out with 4th Ed rules (which are OOP), a D6 Star Wars game (OOP for over a decade, now), and have been in a game that used Dark Conspiracy as a setting and oWoD rules for game mechanics (hybridizing TWO OOP games). There are a few oWoD games running, I think there are still a few Marvel Super Heroes games (OOP for close to two and a half decades or so), and there's even a few original edition D&D and AD&D games (not to mention the multitude of later, still-OOP edition games). If it's a game system you enjoy, and you can put together a game ad that piques curiosity, you'll find people that either know and enjoy it, or are intrigued and would be willing to learn it.
